#30 Plot Twist? 4 Ways to Not Park in Your Pain & Put Your Life in Drive Again with Blessing Offor

Updated: Dec 23, 2022

"God doesn't tell boring stories"

This is crazy. I have requested artist, Blessing Offor, on the podcast for 6 months and...crickets. Then last week, he walked into my studio unannounced on a radio tour, and I just hit record! No prep, no planning, no makeup, messy hair, no cameras just a GREAT authentic conversation about how to deal with the plot twists of life. YOU WILL LOVE HIM!

He shares how he processed loosing his sight, but still chased down his dream to become a musician...and empowering YOUR to push through whatever plot twist your life might be facing right now...because as Blessing says,

"God doesn't tell boring stories"

4 Ways to Not Park in Your Pain & Put Your Life in Drive Again

1. [5:33] Don't Think You Have to fake the happiness

You have to let the grief run it's course so that joy can come in. Only real grief can bring you that kind of joy.

"Grief carves a canyon so that joy may overflow it" -Albert Camus

2. [7:03]. Your plot twist is a characteristic it's not WHO you are.

"When you get to the point where whatever you've been through is just a fact of who you are and nothing to bring you've down then you've reached healing." -

3. [9:47] Make this your "and by faith" moment

"when you get good at doing that....your plot twist become scary adventures."

4. [15:15] Start by Looking Back.

"You've been through hard things...and we've come out of it and we just need to know that the pattern continues. That is gets hard. God pulls us through, and it's really just an emotional spiritual exercise of God saying when will you realize that I've got you."

I would LOVE to know what you think of the Get Your Brave On podcast!

“Get Your Brave On” is inspirational to me! I can relate to Amanda and her guests on so many levels! Her spiritual journey is similar to mine in that she grew up going to church every Sunday but didn’t truly develop a relationship with God until she was down on her knees as a mom. Listening to her weekly podcasts ignites fire and determination in my soul to further my trust and relationship with God and to continue to share my story with others!

If that sounds like you, please consider rating and reviewing my show! This helps me support more people — just like you — life a strong and courageous life and build back better after any plot twist they face.
